Marina Dalglish

I am writing in anticipation that you will be able to support a very exciting and worthwhile initiative Kenny and I are to launch … THE MARINA DALGLISH APPEAL.

As you may know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2003 – this not only affected me but my entire family. It was one of the most difficult and challenging times of our lives. With the help of the wonderful team of doctors, nurses, oncologists and carers I was able to fight this dreadful disease. Without their skill, dedication, encouragement, professionalism, sense of humour, love and support, I could not have come through my cancer journey.

Kenny and I were so grateful and impressed for their help, concern and understanding that we vowed that when I was up and running again we would try and repay a little of what they had done for us!

Last nights Memorial game at Anfield, was in aid of a bid to raise much needed funds for the building of a new Radiotherapy Unit at University Hospital in Aintree.

Over 20,00 fans turned up which was really good, £15 a pop for the tickets so they must of made alot of money for a good cause.
